Hey guys. It's been a while. I'm not going to lie, it's been a long time. I've been busy a lot lately though, and haven't had the time to review a descent dose. Now, however, I am prepared to try one. It's a little past 10 this Monday night, and the dose I have chosen is "Cliff Hanger". I want to try this one, because it shouldn't put me too sleep like most the other ones do. This one is centered around adrenalin. And who knows, maybe I can do two or even three reviews tonight. Let's hope.
Anyways, this dose is supposed to give the listener the effect of being on the edge of a very high cliff. Now I've been on some very high places. Pike's Peak in Colorado, Taum Sauk Mountain in Missouri. So I know what to compare it too. I don't have any predetermined expectations for this does. I suppose just a pit in your stomach, and slight dizziness. I don't know. Anyway, it's 10:16 now, and the does is 35 minutes long. Oh, and before I start, I bought a good pair of headphones. So, I'm expecting only the highest of quality! And without further adieu, "Cliff Hanger!"
I'm done. Finished. And, well, Cliff Hanger is a very interesting dose. There were a few note-worthy things that persisted throughout the entire dose. First of all, it was quite possibly the most boring dose I have ever done. Certainly not one I plan on doing again any time soon. At the very beginning, my hands began to go numb. They felt as though they were swollen the entire time. Also, and I can't say with 100% certainty, but I believe I heard the wind in my ears. Like when you are wearing a hat, or ear-muffs, and the wind rustles against the fur.
I felt a very subtle paranoia the entire time. Not to the extent of creepy, but very annoying none the less. What I felt was missing with this dose, compared to the others, what the warm fuzzy feeling to keep you listening. At least with the other ones, they put you into a trance, that made you want to continue listening. This one was just annoying. I can't say I was pleased. At all.
